Middlesex VA Animal Shelter - two nice senior beagles and one smaller adult beagle bfor adoption or rescue

Henry is the nicest pup but is still really frightened. However, after only a few days at the shelter, he is wagging his tail and happy to go on a walk with a volunteer. He's not quite sure about being held yet, but we'll get him there. Henry is about 6 years old and weighs 20 pounds but needs to gain some weight. But once that happens, he'll be in good shape health wise as he has tested heart worm negative and is now on preventative. He will make a loving family dog and will also fit well into a home with other dogs.

Rusty and his brother, Bubba, were surrendered by a hunter who no longer had any use for them. Rusty and Bubba are very close and like to play together. Rusty is a mellow guy who likes attention and other dogs. He gets along well with everyone. Rusty weighs about 30 pounds, is 8 years old and has tested heart worm negative. He is current on his vaccinations, on heart worm preventative and will be neutered before adoption. Do you have a place in your family for a friendly senior? Come and see Rusty.
RUSTY - 

Bubba is another really sweet dog who has been turned over to the shelter by a hunter that doesn't want to care for him any longer. Bubba and his brother, Rusty, came in together and love to play together. Bubba is a bit overweight but is on a special diet and now getting some exercise from the volunteer walkers. He is very friendly, loves attention and likes all other dogs. Bubba weighs about 40 pounds, is about 8 years old a has tested heart worm negative. He is current on his shots and on heart worm preventative. We'd love to find a home that wants a senior beagle.

I am a beagle mix found as a stray and I weigh 31 pounds.
I am 305 years old, I like walks and playing with other dogs.

Rescue or adopt Fred and Barney two 4 year old bonded beagle/bassetts!

These adorable and super sweet 4 year old brothers were turned into a kill pound by a man who "got them from an old lady."  He intended to hunt them but Fred and Barney were having none of it. They want to love, not to hunt. 

Fred and Barney are very bonded but are great with other dogs. They ignore cats and are so friendly to everyone.  They love to make new acquaintances and have such sociable personalities.  They are housetrained as well.   We do not know if they are crate trained but do fine in a kennel. They also walk nicely on a leash.
