Adopt Ida, a 6 year old beagle/special needs as she has seizures in Maryland

Are you looking for a great doggie friend?  Ida might be just the girl for you.  Ida is a 15 inch beagle and is about 6 years old; she is tri-colored and has a lot of red ticking as well.  Ida gets along well with other dogs, but does not like cats, and would be happiest with no other small animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, or birds. She is very quiet and reserved – she is crate and house trained, but does not like to go outside without a person with her.
Since coming to Sanctuary House [in Upper Fairmount, MD] last spring, Ida has had several seizures.  At the present time she is not on any medication.  Because other dogs sometimes attack a dog having a seizure, it is important for Ida not to be left alone, unsupervised,  with other dogs. Ida needs an owner who understands epilepsy and is willing to love her unconditionally.
Ida is looking for a quiet home; she likes to sit under the desk or cuddle on the couch and watch a movie.  She is not a high energy doggie, and is usually content with brief walks or play time.  Ida loves dog biscuits.
Ida is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and has tested  negative for heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasmosis.  She will be microchipped prior to adoption.
Ida will travel to Easton, MD, to meet prospective adopters.  If you are interested in adopting Ida, please email Sister Mary Winifred at sistermw@bwave.com for an application.
