Brutus (A17561769) is a shy 3-5 year old neutered beagle. This handsome boy wound up at ACCT after wondering into someone’s store. Brutus is pretty nervous here in the shelter and could really use some TLC and time to help him get over his funk. He has some reddening and slight hair loss on his paws. He is a little shy around people and took a while to actually seek interaction with anyone. He came over to give a couple sniffs and allowed some pets but didn’t seek more attention after that. The shelter is no place for Brutus. He needs you now more than ever. Please help him today!!

Adopt Clifford, great 7 year old beagle/basset hound! in PA

Meet Clifford!  He is NOT blind but he is with www.blinddogrescue.com

Clifford is a happy, sweet 7 year old beagle/basset mix. He gets along well with other dogs, and respects them when they tell him off. He met several kittens at the vet (including a VERY small 2 week old kitten), and was not interested in them at all, beyond a "what's THAT" sniff. He loves belly rubs, and attention of any kind. He is housebroken. He walks nicely on leash. He is very interested in food but does not guard food at all. Whenever he sees someone his tail wags and wags-he's always excited to meet new people. He likes to play, but also likes to nap on his dog bed. He does have some arthritis that seems to bother him a little, but nothing major. We will start him on a joint supplement and see if that helps. We are still learning about Clifford, so stay tuned!  Update: August 30, 2012:  Clifford is doing great here! We recently had 30 people over for a party, including several young kids, and he did great! He loved everyone, and had a good time getting treats. He is a counter surfer, and will peek to see what is on tables.  He has an ear infection and is good with our putting the drops in his ears (he didn't like it at first but is doing much better). He is getting eye drops to try to reduce the cherry eye, and doesn't mind them at all. He is a fun, sweet dog who loves to cuddle with his people.  Despite being on two different news channels in the Philadelphia area, no one has shown any interest in Clifford. We don't understand why! Lady needs home or rescue by end of Oct. rescue closing - Wilson NC

This pretty little beagle is Lady around age 5 and under 20 pounds.  The rescue is closing and she
needs a place to go by the end of October.  She is great with dogs and good with cats, she is

Beagles available to rescue - rescuer closing due to health issues wilson, nc

 Meet Betsy, top, and Lady.  These two beagles are with a rescuer who has to close her rescue in Wilson, NC due to serious health issues.  The other dogs are posted on my seniorpetsnyc.org website.  Betsy is an older beagle that has 3 legs.  She definitely needs a diet!  Lady is a smallish beagle around age 5 who is
