Jocko adorable beagle needs home or rescue - Owingsville KY

Jocko is about 5 years old, his teeth in front are worn down, leading us to believe that he was crated for most of his life and used only for hunting.  He is the best dog in the world!  So very grateful for anything, food, kind words, a hug.   He is totally housetrained, a little on the timid side but has come very far since he was rescued, his socialization is in progress. Is great with all the other dogs, with my cats and is great with kids.  Jocko would be the perfect dog for anyone who appreciates beagles or anyone who is looking for a loyal loving companion.

 

Please crosspost if you can, he and Jackson (my other beagle that is still in need) are great buddies, but Jackson likes to play for longer periods of time, whereas Jocko is more of a couch potato with an occasional spurt of energy.

Someone needs to get Snoopy out out of Humane Society of the Ohio Valley.  He is 5 years old and this is a kill shelter.  Transportation available to Kittanning.

Buddie and Brittany two senior beagles need home! Central PA

These two beautiful Beagles came to Animal Rescue,

Inc. a few weeks ago. Their caretaker passed away and no one else would take them. Brittany is 9-years-old and Buddie is 11-years-old -- both are on inexpensive daily medications which they take very easily! Buddie has been standing at the gate since he was brought here -- just waiting for his family to come back for him. Brittany has been happier at the rescue but still wants a forever home with her friend Buddie.

Bonnie is just a wonderful dog! She has been with me approx 5 weeks. She has the best disposition. At first she made a wide birth around my cats at first but now just goes about her business. Gets along great with my dogs and grand kids (7 yrs and 9 months). She is very active putting her nose to the ground and her tail held high. I don't think she had ever been inside so potty training is an ongoing thing. Loves to be snuggled with. Will paw at me when I quit loving on her for more. Loves squeaky toys and usually has it in her mouth. She is a thief. Steals anything and takes it to her bed or mine like a treasure. Not a chewer though. She likes to be up high like on an elevated table I have by the window. She will lay there and sleep and snore. Approx 6-8 yrs old. Probably 25/30 pounds. She was a little thinner when she got here. Has a tattoo in her ear that has faded and we have tried to track but no luck. This girl is a snuggle bug who loves to be next to me just touch. An escape artist. She can shinny up the corners of my fence so I sit out there the whole time she is out. As long as I am there she doesn't even attempt to get out. Good on leash however is skittish getting it on her. Who knows what this sweet girl has been thru yet is very loyal and loving. I can send you some pictures if you like. As you can tell I am in love as I am with each of my fosters. She really does need her own furever family even though I am not in a hurry for her to go.

Elinore (A156154) is approx. an 8 year old Beagle that was found as a stray and never claimed by an owner. She is 26 pounds.  Due to her age and the hair loss (which looks more like old scars) she would not go up for adoption. She is a very sweet, older and calm beagle! Elinore had super long nails and one nail that looked like it was half way ripped out of the toe. Elinore looks like she has had a rough life and really deserves to have a 2nd chance at retirement!!!

Elinore's pull fee is $20 which includes a rabies shot, DHLPP, and a dewormer. We can do a heatrworm test on her for $25.

Doodle, Dot and Sandy are in need of homes!  These are breeder dogs who are no longer
breeding.  This is Doodle, a Lemon Beagle. Doodle has figured out what to do to make the family return him to me. So I continue to get him back. He is not a bad dog. He gets along with other dogs. Every once in a while if a dog pushes him, he will let them know. I do a reprimand and actually make him go lay down or go outside separately for a while to calm down. He will bark out of excitement. Such as when he sees the neighbor kids come out, he runs to the fence barking to play. He can get caught up in the barking so we have been working on a couple of barks and then stop. I would prefer no bark at all and we have actually accomplished that on occasion. He likes to veg on the couch. He loves to go to the country and run. One of the picture's of him running in the country. Can you see that smile and plain happiness he has there. I suggest a family with no children (because in his excitement in playing he may jump on a small child and knock them down) and even no animals (because he will not back down from an Alpha dog). A retired couple or individual. As you see, he will act up to be returned (his comfort level is here). The person adopting Doodle will need to show they are Alpha (stronger willed) of the pair. But do this without physical abuse. The previous homes have beat him, locked him outside permanently and locked him in a small room alone for such long periods of time that now when I put him in the car he literally bounces off the windows. Seriously. I have to talk him down and then he will settle down. It makes me sad. Doodle is neutered and current on all shots. He is hw- and on ivermectin monthly. Martin a senior bealge needs to leave shelter asap - Frankfort KY

 Frankfort KY: Senior Shelter Beagle Needs Rescue

Martin is an older Beagle looking for a nice quiet home where he can be someone's companion.   He has an old injury to his right eye that has clouded and blinded him in that eye but it doesn't seem to bother him at all.  He is very easy going.  He was recently adopted but returned because he suffers from separation anxiety so he needs someone that can give him a lot of companionship.  He is approximately 8-9 years old and weighs 26 lbs.  He is fully vetted and heartworm tested.  Transport assistance is available.  Pictures attached.  If you can rescue Martin from our crowded county shelter then please contact the shelter's Rescue Coordinator at rescuebrigade@gmail.com
