Pongo, The Dancing Beagle
OK, we admit that as Pongo gets older, he doesn't dance as much as he used to. He has a bit of arthritis, and surgery with pins placed in two legs, so he's not jumping on the bed any more. But when the music's right, just try to keep him down.
At age 14 this neutered male Beagle would just as soon stick to walking, as long as he can stop and smell the roses now and then. In the car he prefers the front seat, even better with the window rolled halfway down so he can stick his head out and feel the breeze. Favorite snack: carrots.
Pongo is well-housebroken and does great with kids -- can't say how he'll do with other dogs and cats. He's been the watchdog and faithful, loving companion to his current owner for 9 years now. Unfortunately, the family is relocating due to a divorce and the new home does not allow pets. The heartbroken owner wants to provide some financial assistance and maybe get a chance to visit if we can find a forever home not far from his current home in Silver Spring, MD. Pongo deserves one more dance -- and one more chance.
